These podcast are a great encouragement to me, thanks so much.
Over these last 11 years I have filled a landfill with my creative ideas that did not gain the momentum needed for great success. I am starting to feel like Noah, I know God has given me a dream that will float but I need some help (or 100 more years) and some rain. I guess my question is how do you keep your team and your supporters motivated when so many of your great ideas in the past are now in the landfill? We are now launching a multi-site/ multi-lingual church in Playa Del Carmen Mexico and we need some rain and your prayers.

As a pastor who has struggled with innovation, I found this podcast very helpful. I think it is very easy to try too hard, and in the process kill your innovation and end up discouraged.
I lead an Anglican church in Bristol, England and have really been encouraged by pastors.com and your pod casts.
At our church we are praying and working hard to win people to Christ, to build them up as disciples of Jesus and to nurture them to become leaders in mission. So the discussion about adding a zero to the vision has really spoken to me.
I have spent a long time stuck in thinking we’ve just got to do the same we’ve always done, only a little better and a little longer. In UK culture and after many years of ministry I know that can be a hard grind.
Your experience and insights showed me that changing the scale of the vision changes the whole discussion – that thought is both an innovation and an inspiration to me and my colleagues here.
I believe that one thought is a blessing from the Lord just for us! The Lord bless you too!

I just wanted to write and thank you for your ministry to pastors. I am currently in my fifth year as a first time pastor of a church that has just turned sixty years old. When I first arrived our church was running around 80 to 90 people. A couple of years ago we took the church through the 40 Days of Purpose and experienced wonderful growth in our people and attendance. Recently, I have been inspired by your podcasts and the need for our church to reach out into the community – especially using a big event.
Well, this month God blessed our church beyond anything I could ever imagine. We held our fifth annual “God and Country Celebration” on Sunday night July 8th. We prepared for a large crowd – we reached out into our community – our church of 150 to 200 people rallied together – and God opened the flood gates as approximately 12,000 people showed up for our event! There are only 13,000 living in the city limits and 30,000 in our county.
I’m still amazed a what happened and I just wanted to thank you for being my pastor and encouraging me to dream big and trust in God.

This is GREAT! The bottom-line is not to be a slave to innovation… it’s not innovation for innovation sake, nor excellence for excellence sake. It’s all about salvation. It’s all about the Kingdom!

If you are seeking direction in how to innovate your church or ministry it is vital to recall the foundation in the Holy Bible which teaches us how to move forward in this world and make positive growth in every direction.
It is when we lean upon man for direction that we fail but when we firmly lean upon God through the love of Jesus Christ that we will succeed…Amen
